| THREE PHASE
MODELS |
Ganged
Assembly of three torroidal coils provide the Three Phase Models
and a common coaxial shaft helps to provide continuous control
of three phase output. |

| REMOTE CONTROL
MODELS |
VATs
are also available with a stepper Motor bi-directional drive to
enable remote control of the output voltage with raise
or lower push button switches. |

| 115V AND
230V MODELS |
| VATs are available
for 115V or 230V operation at any line frequency between 47Hz and
63Hz. |

| RATING AND
SPECIFICATIONS |
All
Single Phase VATs are rated for 115V or 230V AC. 50/60Hz single
phase supply. Three Phase Models are for 200V or 400V AC. 50/60Hz
input and provide variable Three Phase 4 wire voltage output. |
The output
voltage can be varied smoothly over two ranges :
(i) from zero to full supply voltage (line voltage connection) or
(ii) from zero to approx. 15% high than the supply voltage (Booster
Voltage Connector). |
As
the output voltage is continuously variable, VATs cannot be rated
in terms of KVA but are rated in terms of current that can be
drawn from the output. The rating assigned to a VAT generally
indicates the max. output current that can be drawn at any voltage,
over the entire range. VATs can also be supplied for non-standard
input. |

| CONSTRUCTION |
Single
Phase VATs are generally supplied in two types of construction,
one is a portable type with sheet metal enclosure. For mounting
them flush or back of panel, or inside a cubicle, they are supplied
without any enclosure. |

| MAINTENANCE |
When
operated within its rated capacity, VATs has long life. For protection,
it is advised to use a fast acting fuse at the output and a slow
acting fuse at the input. |
