Applications
1.
In computer the presence of spikes, transients or noise in the supply line will lead to erratic behavior of the computer. Crotech’s ISOLINE eliminates line disturbances and prevents faulty and erratic operations.
2.
In Instrumentation and telemetry, line disturbances will lead to faulty recordings or readings. Crotech’s ISOLINE completely isolates power line disturbances and ensures more reliable operation of the equipment.

For patient’s safety in hospitals, all diagnostics or therapeutic medical equipment should be completely isolated from the supply line. Complete patient/operator safety is assured by ISOLINE due to its excellent DC isolation as well as total electrostatic shielding from the power line.

Other systems essentially requiring ISOLINE are digital communication systems, audio and video recording equipment, which get badly affected by line noise.

ISOLINE Ultra Isolation Transformers are available from 2500VA to 25KVA, Single phase as standard models. For three phase input, Three single phase units can be connected in STAR or DELTA configuration. They are conservatively rated to ensure long life and highest reliability.

Description
Ordinary isolation transformers isolate one circuit from another, while magnetically coupling wanted energy from one to other. Such a transformer is adequate for use with low gain circuits or insensitive instruments. However, if the transformers must work into a high gain load or sensitive instrumentation, noise potentials between the primary circuit and ground must be prevented from affecting the secondary circuits due to capacitive and resistive coupling between the transformers windings.

Traditional techniques for keeping noise from reaching the transformer secondary e.g. the standard faraday shield (A grounded single turn of conducting foil between the windings) will divert much of the primary noise current to ground. But noise still can be coupled into the secondary because of the electrostatic field around the faraday shield and will cause serious problems in the secondary circuits.

To overcome this problem, ISOLINE range employs a unique multiple shielding technique that reduces the interwinding capacitance below 0.009pF and increases the DC isolation over 100M ohms. ISOLINE has therefore only ten thousandth the noise leakage of an ordinary transformer.
